An exquisite antique headdress piece we used on a music video shoot. It was over a hundred years old, I believe it was from Afghanistan and absolutely gorgeous. More images to come when the video is released…:)
Abigail de Casanova has been involved in the fashion industry for over 15 years. As a hairstylist and makeup artist she focuses on getting her clients ready for special events as well as working on photo shoots and fashion shows including New York Fashion Week. Her work as a handbag and jewelry designer has been showcased at the MTV Video Music Awards, The Cannes Film Festival, among other high profile events including movie premieres in New York and Miami. She is the President of The DC Fashionista Group which was founded in 2006, a networking group for designers, models, photographers, makeup artists and hairstylists in the Washington, DC area.

This is my high school friend Simi from India. I got her ready for an Afghan wedding last night. Her husband Ahmad is from Afghanistan.
Her outfit was very beautiful and colorful so I decided to go with a red eyeshadow and and deeper red lips.
